Memento Mori, literally meaning “Remember You Must Die,” is a message that may at first seem morbid but is in fact one of the most grounding reminders of all. It calls us to recognize the fragility of life so that we can cherish each moment and live more fully.

In our own busy lives, we can get caught up in meetings that don’t matter, doing things we don’t want to do and can take our own lives and those of those around us for granted.

To remember our mortality is to remember that we must seize every moment that is given to us.

THE DESIGN

Front of the pendant: Features our unique Memento Mori logo design. The ‘M’s on the design represent “Memento Mori” whereas the skull and hourglass are well-known symbols associated with the phrase.

Back of the pendant: Is blank revealing the smooth gold plating.

THE SPEC

The pendant is 20mm in diameter and 2mm thick. The pendant is brass metal which has then been polished and gold plated.

After this, the pendant has then been enamelled and hand-painted in black. The outer details of the skull and hourglass have been painted white, with the background of the gold shining through. A layer of clear resin has been applied to both sides to encase the paint for protection.

The gold plated chains are a base metal that have been gold plated. The chains are delicate but strong.

These pendants aren't suitable for wearing in the shower/for swimming as the moisture/chemicals can damage the plating and resin.

All pendants come securely and thoroughly packaged and include a black necklace box as per the image.
